There are honey bees here. On purpose. The bees buz around happily.
There are two hives. The first one is called "Founder". The second one is called "Split". Founder started in 2017 from a 3lb (1.4kg) package of bees with queen. It survived the winter and in the spring of 2018 it was preparing to swarm. It was split by hand by moving frames to try to prevent the swarm. It swarmed anyway. Ornery bees. It worked out anyway because now there are two healthy hives.
